Inspiration
Clover Yard sounds beautiful to me - two words which somehow belong together. It was where my late great, great, Auntie lived for at least 20 of her 98 years. I will always remember her sitting room with the crocheted armchair covers, the clock ticking in the background as we drank tea from proper grown up teacups. I remember once, when the 'meenister' came to visit, my brother and I were highly praised for our good behaviour as we passed round a tasty 'fancy piece' from Ella's battered old biscuit tins and assorted tupperware containers. At Christmas she would send us crocheted doilies and a Fair Isle jumper each. For a ten year old the jumpers were way too itchy and desperately uncool. How funny that they are just the things that would catch my eye nowadays.
I guess that's what my blog is really all about. My tastes, loves, inspirations, hopes and influences. A place where I can be unashamedly girly and perhaps sentimental at times without fear of being judged. It's a blank sheet of paper and packet of crayons moment and I'm going to scribble to my hearts content.
Welcome to my world.
