A sign?
Something happened today that tested me. It also made me smile. It was my turn to look after the museum for the day and I took plenty of reading material with me. A lady, Jo Middlemiss lives nearby and writes for the local paper. She is a life coach and her column "Winning Ways" is really inspiring. Recently, while hosting a group who were convinced of the power and influence of angels, she made a cynical comment, to which a girl replied that a feather would appear in an unusual and surprising place to get her to review her belief. And it did. And she continued to ask her angel to send her signs.
I indulged myself for the rest of the afternoon, reading all her columns which were really heart lifting. So much so that even the drudgery of having to hoover the museum at the end of the day couldn't have spoiled my mood. As I got to work, I suddenly spotted a fluffy white feather, and then another. In the end, I picked up five of them! To this date, I've never noticed one single feather on the floor.
Some of you may think it's nonsense, but I found this really comforting and I couldn't ignore it. Maybe there is an invisible support around us. I'd like to think there is.
Hi Carol, Happy Saturday afternoon to you!.....OH! just remembered it is more like late Saturday evening for you!....I completely believe in the idea that there are "angels", "spirits" or "friendly ghosts" that are watching over us, taking care & guiding us. I know some people think it's silly...but I for one feel much better believing there are good forces in our midst!! Keep watching out for those feathers! Enjoy your weekend!...Heidi :)

Hi Carol, I love the story about the feathers - I have heard something similar about butterfles! I always look out for them too! Winning Ways resulting in Happy Hoovering? I must try and read this column - see if it could make me fly through the housework with a smile on my face! Keep up the good work! I love hearing what you've been up to!

Hello Carol, Jo Middlemiss here. I was delighted to see your reference to my articles. Such a funny thing. I tap away as you do and wonder if anyone every reads the articles and then something lovely like this happens. I googled my own name to see if my book had made it there and up popped your lovely blog. Angels are stil a major feature in my life and the reassurances come fast and furious when I need them. Carry on your good work. I wonder if you read these back dated comments.
Love Jo
